Hello beautiful people! Lately, I have been quiet, both in person and online. I do that sometimes; I need to do that sometimes. I am very introverted, which seems to be even more prevalent as I am on my healing journey and pushing to grow personally and spiritually. As I sat there, feeling down on myself for what I perceive as slipping back, I realized that healing is a lifelong pursuit. It isn’t a destination you arrive at. You will meet breakthroughs, plateaus, and even some back slides. It’s O.K., it’s normal. If you made the choice to dig deep within yourself, heal old wounds, learn and let go of the past, then you are already stronger than you think.
“We are all equals walking different paths and at different levels of awareness and healing”
The term “equality”, almost seems like a cliché nowadays. Everyone is talking about it for women, ethnicities and sexual orientation. As cliché as it may seem, this is where our world needs to be headed. There is no one person who is better than you, or you than them. We are all equal.
It’s hard for us, as humans, to see this. We are so driven by our egos that even in a fight for equality amongst us, we are placing ourselves above those who don’t carry this opinion. I understand; it boggles my mind why people can’t just love one another for who they are. Yet, in this same breathe, I too have judged others or thought I was better than them.
Here is the truth. We are all the same. This goes deeper than saying we all bleed the same color. When we are born, we are born worthy of the highest level of love. It isn’t something we must earn or pay for, it’s ours. Always was, always will be. It is only through conditioning that this feeling is diminished, the feeling of worthiness. You will encounter people that are more or less emotionally, spiritually evolved than you, but that doesn’t make them more or less than you. We are all equals walking different paths and at different levels of awareness and healing.
“You are unique, and your journey was only meant for you to walk.”
Social media is abuzz with being awakened. Awakened to the world, to yourself, the power that we all hold. It can be hard to discern who is authentic and who is in it for the clout.
You find yourself comparing your experience to others. Asking questions like: “Why don’t I experience that?” “Why haven’t I been able to achieve that?” These are all dangerous questions, ones that lead to comparing yourself to others.
Your journey is yours and yours alone. You weren’t meant to experience your healing the same way as someone else. I go back to this; we are all equals walking different paths and at different levels of awareness and healing. Say this to yourself over and over again. Stay the path without expectation that anyone will understand your journey completely or that you need to be like that one guy on so and so platform. You are unique, and your journey was only meant for you to walk.
The person you aspire to be, you already are. I say this to you and to myself. We are already everything we have dreamed of, but it takes work to unearth these bits and pieces of us that get buried.
